I have been trolling Butter London’s website and I am in love with half of their colors! I have their Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat and it is literally my favorite basecoat ever. My nails are weak and often damaged, this basecoat really helps to provide a smooth base for my polish and hide my damaged nails. My nails are also currently partly stained yellow, and this base helps to keep that stain from showing through thinner polishes. If only I had the funding for some of the colors!
Yesterday I tested out Julep’s scrub that I received in my St. Patty’s Day Mystery Box. It has a pleasing, slightly orangie smell to it, similar to the true blue spa hand scrub from Bath and Body Works but not as strong. I was not impressed with the amount of exfoliating beads that were in this scrub. It did make my hands a bit softer but I have achieved much more impressive results with a homemade exfoliating solution. So I would say that this particular product from Julep is not worth the cost for the result you get from the product. In short, it’s nothing to write home about.
Went on a side trip to ULTA while shopping for my boyfriend’s birthday a few weeks ago and picked up these two colors.
(Blue) OPI’s Fly from the Nicki Minaj line
(Green) China Glaze’s Paper Chasing
One side note on the China Glaze, for some reason it turned my nail’s yellow THROUGH my base coat. This only happened to the very damaged upper two thirds of my nail, the new growth that I have since starting to use a nail treatment did not stain. So it is possible it only stained my nails because of how damaged and weak they are.
I chose polka dots because they are super easy and I didn’t have a lot of time on this particular day. Also they are trending for spring nail art!
My dotters have not arrived in the mail yet so I used the end of a bobby pin to create my dots.
